The Mitchell Park Conservatory, more widely known as the Mitchell Park Domes, has been an iconic destination within the Milwaukee County Park System since 1959. Recently the site that hosts the Domes has undergone a massive construction project as a result of a freeway expansion in Milwaukee that displaced the county parks’ existing greenhouses.

This provided an opportunity for the city to build a new state-of-the-art greenhouse adjacent to the Domes. The project’s rainwater harvesting and reuse system was recently featured in a Water Quality Products Magazine feature to dive into what was specifically designed for the innovative system.
