An expanded pilot program and several hundred thousand dollars in funding are on tap at Milwaukee’s Global Water Center, both unveiled Thursday.

The Water Council partnered with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District and We Energies-backed Fund for Lake Michigan in a $600,000, two-year joint funding venture designed to advance new clean water technologies. The pilot program started earlier this year with a $100,000 grant from Wells Fargo.
