Spancrete Group Inc. is in hiring mode, continuing a trend since 2009 that has seen employment almost double.
The Waukesha manufacturer of pre-cast concrete for the commercial and residential construction industries is looking to fill about 30 open positions. Since hitting a 2009 low of about 250 employees, the company has grown to 430 employees company-wide, said Alan Antoniewicz, Spancrete’s president and chief operating officer. Spancrete has found success in working with several major manufacturers in Wisconsin in the last few years. The company has focused heavily on the food and beverage industry in the last three years, winning projects at Sargento Foods, Palermo Villa Inc., and BelGioioso Cheese Inc., Antoniewicz said. Spancrete also supplied pre-cast concrete to the Gearbox Express expansion in Mukwonago, and is working on the Horicon John Deere facility.
