Since 2012, Michael Doucas has advised and coached a variety of technology startups. In his roles with these organizations, he helped create compelling, successful proposals, RFP’s and pitch materials, secure funding, and negotiate contracts among other services.
Previously, Michael worked for an early-stage cleantech startup for 11 years and was exposed to multiple parts of the business from managing an OEM hardware and firmware development project with EATON Corporation to negotiating cross-border partnerships and teaming agreements with IBM and Alcatel. His strengths are in all aspects of startup operations including but not limited to: strategic planning, capital acquisition, business development, contract negotiations, financial projections and product development. Michael has 18 years of startup experience and is a graduate of the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.
As a testament to his skills and ability, in a joint team meeting with IBM in 2008 the Global Technology Services lead, Ray Paskauskas, said “the reason IBM was doing business with Elutions was because of Michael Doucas’s character, integrity and perseverance.”
