CATALYZE OPPORTUNITIES WITH INDUSTRY INSIDERS

Connect. Discuss. Innovate.

2019 AGENDA

One Room. One Moderator. One Water. Like technology evolves, so too does the format for Water Leaders Summit 2019. Steering away from the traditional “breakout session” conference approach, the Summit utilizes a dynamic program with sessions combining story-telling followed by engaging conversations between our moderator and global water leaders.

Connecting our audience in the same room throughout the Summit enhances the ability to determine targets and key relationships, offers intimate networking opportunities and additional face-to-face time with speakers.

Host: Dean Amhaus, President & CEO of The Water Council

Moderators: Charles Fishman, author of “The Big Thirst” and Fast Company contributor and Matt Howard, Director of the Alliance for Water Stewardship North America

Dress: Casual. A nice pair of jeans, a button-down shirt or a polo, a summer dress and a cardigan, that kind of casual. Be comfortable.

1:45 PM Theme Setter - Rethinking Water
What is hidden water? Why are we recovering and buying water? Why don’t we just use the water we already have? There’s the water that’s really hidden, like the water that went into making your iPhone, in your bank account and the water used to cool data centers from your Google search. But then there’s the water hidden in plain sight trapped in ice sheets or lost to evaporation. Water is a mindset. Once you start noticing water it becomes instinctual. But until you start noticing it, you don’t think to measure or monitor it, and if you’re not doing either of those activities, it can really be hidden, or it can be so overlooked that it’s hiding in plain sight.
