The Water Council offers a spectrum of advisory services that meet the needs of organizations wherever they are in their water stewardship journeys. We customize engagements that accelerate a company’s water stewardship performance while improving outcomes and reporting. Our advisory services include:
- Strategy development – Guided development of a water strategy, target(s) and goal(s) as part of a broader sustainability plan or strategy
- Gap assessment – Benchmarking and assessment of current water-related practices and policies with relevant best practices
- Enterprise-wide risk assessment – Evaluation and prioritization of water-related risk for an organization and the watersheds where it operates
- Operationalizing enterprise-wide goals – Inform the rollout of organizational water stewardship strategy and goals at the watershed level
- Direct operational support – Support for implementation of water stewardship best practices at the watershed level, including the Alliance for Water Stewardship Standard
- Local water stewardship projects with partners – Develop and support collaborative water stewardship projects by working with companies and other local partners at the watershed level
