WAVE: Water Stewardship Verified accelerates strategic water stewardship actions within organizations of all sizes and industries. WAVE’s proven step-wise approach provides a methodology to help organizations assess water use, impact and risk across the enterprise. It is the only verification program of its kind helping to better define and recognize “good” enterprise-wide water stewardship.
When successfully completed, WAVE participants will have a roadmap to strategic target-setting, action and external communication on water outcomes. Participating organizations are required to seek independent verification to WAVE by engaging our exclusive partner, SCS Global Services, a worldwide leader in third-party verification of sustainability claims. WAVE verified organizations receive an enterprise-wide claim and logo that can be used in sustainability reports, ESG frameworks and other means of external communication.
Verification to WAVE assures investors, customers and other key stakeholders that the company is credibly and strategically addressing water challenges across the enterprise and as warranted into its value chain. WAVE verified organizations credibly demonstrate that they are prioritizing water-related action where it matters most, ultimately mitigating water-related risk and addressing shared water challenges and opportunities while building a more water-resilient operation.
