The Tech Tribune, a new publication focused on tech startups, recently announced its 2019 rankings of the nine best tech startups in Milwaukee.
The rankings were based on revenue potential, leadership team, brand and product traction and competitive landscape. To qualify, companies must be privately owned, at least 10 years old, and have received at least one round of funding.
Topping the list is Scanalytics Inc., a Milwaukee tech company that develops internet-connected floor sensors for tracking people in buildings. Scanalytics is in the process of raising $1 million for customer-related development, according to its CEO and co-founder, Joe Scanlin. The company has so far raised $533,000 of that goal.
Scanalytics is in the midst of developing floor sensing technology that can reduce energy consumption in buildings for the U.S. Department of Energy.
Second on the list is Milwaukee-based health tech company Access HealthNet, followed by 7Summits, which builds cloud-computing solutions within Salesforce.
