Welcome Swiss Consul General
The Water Council and Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation welcomed Ambassador André Schaller, Consul General of Switzerland in New York, Fabian Stiefvater, Head Swiss Business Hub USA in New York – Federal Department of Foreign Affairs/Switzerland Global Enterprise, and Claudine Haeni, Swiss Trade Commissioner in Chicago to the Global Water Center on April 29, 2016.
The Swiss delegation was in Wisconsin to meet with other Swiss firms that have operations within the state, and to meet with a Wisconsin firm that has operations in Switzerland. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker also met with the group, prior to their visit to the Global Water Center. In Milwaukee, the group met with Dean Amhaus, President & CEO, The Water Council, to discuss future partnership possibilities, and what synergies may exist between the two region’s respective water initiatives. This introduction lays the groundwork for The Water Council to expand its global reach by securing new international partners.
