Through a U.S. Small Business Administration Regional Innovation Cluster contract, The Water Council’s Small Business Channel promotes the growth and development of small businesses operating in the water technology sector across the United States. Links to critical resources such as financial capital, global networks, trained workers, supply chains and technical assistance are readily available through The Water Council.
Beginning in 2009, The Water Council convened regional water technology companies, creating a core cluster network, and expanded that network by recruiting new, innovative water technology businesses to Southeastern Wisconsin, while simultaneously building overseas relationships with cities, companies, universities and water-focused organizations. As the concentration of water professionals in the hub increases and programming continues to grow, there are numerous opportunities for small and medium sized businesses to engage, find a support system and make connections.
