On March 2, 2016, Commercial Counsellor Zou Xiaoming and Commercial Consul Dan Yuanpeng visited The Water Council. Mr. Zou was recently appointed to the Consulate of China in Chicago and was previously based in Africa. They were met by Dean Amhaus, President & CEO of The Water Council, and was given a tour of the Global Water Center by Karen Frost, Director of Small Business Development of The Water Council.
His visit was to familiarize with industries of Wisconsin, so that the Chinese Consulate could promote Wisconsin to Chinese businesses and strengthen business relationships between China and Wisconsin. Apart from The Water Council, he met with the food and beverage cluster, FaB, and the energy consortium, M-WERC.
