Delegation’s visit included meetings with key partners across the City of Milwaukee

The Water Council and The Mathie Group welcomed Li Jin, Deputy Mayor, ChuZhou Municipal Government, Fusheng Zhang, Deputy Secretary General, ChuZhou Municipal Government, Zhi Yao, Senior Advisor, Najiao District Government, Yanyong Wang, Director, ChuZhou Bureau of Science and Technology, Feng Zhang, Director, Nanquiao District Economic Development Zone, and Ran Ju, Interpreter, ChuZhou Foreign Affairs Office to the Global Water Center on June 12, 2017.

The ChuZhou Delegation was in Milwaukee for two days of meetings and site visits to speak with many key water-related partners around the city. The purpose of the visit was to discuss laying the ground-work to develop a water researching center in ChuZhou, utilizing The Water Council’s expertise and the City of Milwaukee as a model. After a series of successful meetings, The Water Council entered into an official Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ChuZhou Municipal Government, China-US Spongy City Research Institute, Lu & Associates, LLC and The Mathie Group, LLC. The MOU is aimed at assisting all parties to cooperate with the China-US Spongy City Research Institute to develop water-related businesses in China, as well as assist in establishing ChuZhou as a water-centric city. This introduction further lays the groundwork for The Water Council to expand its global reach by securing new international partners.
