Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation and The Water Council were pleased to host H.E. Andriana Supandy, Consul General of Indonesia, to the Global Water Center on February 24, 2016 for an introduction and overview of Milwaukee’s World Water Hub.
Accompanying the Consul General on his visit were, Mr. Darmawan Hadi, Vice Consul – Economic Affairs, Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Wijayanto, Director, Indonesia Trade Promotion Center – Chicago, and Ms. Yanie Anggraini, Deputy Director, Indonesia Trade Promotion Center – Chicago.
Consul General Supandy’s visit set the groundwork to establish increased communication and collaboration between the two regions. Following a tour of the Global Water Center, the Indonesia Consulate held meetings with a variety of local organizations, including the Milwaukee Metropolitan Association of Commerce and several small water technology businesses located in the Global Water Center to identify and explore possible synergies.
