Chinese Delegation Makes a Quick Detour to Milwaukee to See Where Water Works

The Water Council was pleased to welcome representatives from the Jiangsu Pump Industry Association to visit and tour the Global Water Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Chinese delegation was in the United States originally to attend the 2017 Pump & Turbo Symposia in Houston. The group specifically requested to visit Milwaukee’s Water Technology Hub on September 11 while en route to Houston in order to discover what work is being done in Milwaukee, and how their respective companies could potentially partner and get involved. During their brief visit, they toured the Global Water Center, Reed Street Yards and the Zurn Industries building. Dean Amhaus, President & CEO of The Water Council, later joined the delegation to offer some parting words and invite the group to reconnect in November, when The Water Council and Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation will host two conferences in Nanjing and Beijing to discuss how Wisconsin companies can help the country address their water issues.
