Shower stream on strong growth path

Shower Stream logo shaped like a drop of waterShower utility waste costs hotels $8 billion annually in water, sewer and gas. Plus, water and steam-related building damage caused by aging fixtures and wasteful guest shower use cost hotels 10 times more in repair and maintenance costs.

Shower Stream is the world’s first subscription IoT (Internet of Things) shower head that automatically solves these painful utility and maintenance issues at scale for hotels. Shower Stream data shows that 70% of hotel guests leave the shower unattended while it’s warming up, and 1% of hotel showers run for four hours or more, often to steam clothes.

Once the water has reached the desired temperature, the device pauses the water flow until the guest returns. An AI-driven, web-connected platform automates maintenance tasks.

Following participation in The Water Council’s BREW 2.0 Post-Accelerator in 2024, Shower Stream installed its technology across two hotel brands this year, saving nearly 170,000 gallons of hot water.

Now aiming to grow, the company has attracted interest from Motel 6, Hyatt, Extended Stay America, and the U.S. Navy. Shower Stream is seeking a lead investor for a $2 million funding round, with a goal of installing 10,000 devices in 2025.
