Formed in 1997, Slater Infrastructure Group is committed to building resilient structures and providing robust solutions while demonstrating exceptional professional responsibility toward all stakeholders and the environment. With extensive industry knowledge, Slater implements, manages, maintains, monitors and operates infrastructure in the water/wastewater transportation and energy sectors, with particular expertise in operations and maintenance, construction engineering and inspection, and environmental services. The company, based in Alpharetta, Georgia, has worked with public and private entities, including major multinational firms.
In July, Slater announced the launch of Slater Certified®, a workforce development platform designed to help close the growing skills gap in infrastructure, including the water and wastewater sectors.
As the country faces a wave of retirements and increasing regulatory demands, utilities and municipalities are under pressure to deliver sustainable, compliant services. Slater Certified® provides a modern solution: AI-powered, self-paced training that prepares professionals for licensure and continuing education with real-world relevance. At the heart of the platform is Generative Artificial Intelligence Learning (G.A.I.L.), an interactive tutor offering real-time feedback, personalized explanations and adaptive support.
This new program grows out of Slater’s dedication to supporting workforce development and training to prepare the workforce of the future, while reskilling and creating jobs for local and underserved communities. In 2023, The Water Council presented Slater with our Water Warrior of the Year Award in recognition of its commitment to water and STEM education.
