Once again, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) and The Water Council partnered together to represent Wisconsin at the Water Environment Federation’s Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC). This year, it took place at McCormick Place in downtown Chicago. WEFTEC is the largest assembly of water and wastewater products and services in the world. It hosts of 22,000 attendees from around the world and from all sectors of water quality. Additionally, over 40 companies on the show floor had a presence in the state of Wisconsin!
Water Council staff stayed busy throughout the conference. From hosting an evening reception on the show floor, participating on a panel discussion, to hosting the first Water Venture Investment Conference, The Water Council was involved in over 10 events at WEFTEC 2015.
Overall, the conference was a tremendous success. Staff was able to meet and interact with new faces in the Wisconsin Pavilion, chat with fellow members throughout the show floor and even welcomed international guests back up to Milwaukee for a tour of the Global Water Center and UW-Milwaukee School of Freshwater Sciences.
The Water Council and WEDC are looking forward to a successful WEFTEC 2016 in New Orleans! See you there!
