Two large apartment developments overlooking Milwaukee’s new water technology business park are opening this spring, with the business park’s first office building set to begin construction around that same time.

The apartment buildings, totaling over 160 units, and the Reed Street Yards business park are part of a new development wave near the $22 million Global Water Center, a tech office building that opened in 2013 at 247 W. Freshwater Way.

Meanwhile, the water center, a renovated seven-story, 98,000-square-foot former warehouse, is nearly full and developers are planning a possible second water center building with 45,000 square feet.
