Dean Amhaus, the president and chief executive officer of The Water Council, will be recognized with the Regional Spirit Award at BizTimes’ annual Innovation + Entrepreneurship Forum on Nov. 30. The annual event recognizes innovators and entrepreneurs taking the southeastern Wisconsin economy to the next level.
Amhaus became the founding president and CEO of The Water Council in 2010. His work has helped grow Milwaukee’s water technology cluster into an internationally recognized world water hub. Prior to 2010, he served as the president of the nonprofit organization Spirit of Milwaukee, which promoted Milwaukee as a great place to live, work and play.
