Meeting encouraged trade between Hong Kong and Wisconsin

Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) hosted Mr. Steve Barclay, Director, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office – New York, at the Global Water Center on May 19, 2016. Mr. Barclay met with Mark Hogan, CEO, WEDC, to discuss strategies on cooperation and trade between Hong Kong and Wisconsin. WEDC also presented the various industry clusters thriving in southeastern Wisconsin. Following their meeting, The Water Council provided a tour to truly immerse Director Barclay in the collaborative water ecosystem that exists within the Global Water Center.

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in New York was set up in 1983. It is responsible for promoting the economic and trade relations and cultural ties between Hong Kong and thirty-one eastern states of the United States, including Wisconsin. Steve Barclay has been the Director since August of 2014.
