Xylem has been a member of The Water Council for nearly a decade. The Fortune 1000 corporation is a leading water technology company committed to “solving water” by creating innovative and smart technology solutions to meet the world’s water, wastewater and energy needs, making it a natural fit for our work driving freshwater innovation.
Our partnership took a giant step forward when Xylem announced it would move its Sanitaire operations to the Global Water Center in Milwaukee, Wis. In addition to serving as the home base for The Water Council, the Global Water Center houses offices and labs for several water technology companies and universities, along with a co-working space for water start-ups. Xylem will complete its move into our building soon, and we are eager to welcome its staff. Xylem also is a sponsor of our Water Leaders Summit happening July 20-22 and 27-29.
Now Xylem is again strengthening its relationship to The Water Council as the newest sponsor of our Tech Challenge. Xylem will be one of four sponsors of the fall 2021 challenge, joining previous sponsors A. O. Smith Corporation, Badger Meter and Watts Water Technologies.
The Tech Challenge, held twice annually, empowers anyone with a freshwater technology solution to vet their concept with industry professionals from leading corporations and compete for a cash prize, as well as an opportunity to work with a sponsoring corporation to turn that idea into a viable commercial product. Topics are identified by our corporate sponsors.
“At Xylem we devote ourselves every day to addressing the water challenges that face the world,” says Adam McNeill, director of sales for Xylem Treatment-North America. “Our longstanding and productive relationship with The Water Council illustrates our commitment to this global cause. With the move of our Sanitaire brand to the Global Water Center, we are very excited to work with companies and individuals that share our mission and our passion. The Tech Challenge is an excellent opportunity to discover and inspire the next generation of water leaders and we couldn’t be happier to be a part of it.”
Stay tuned for the next Tech Challenge topic to be announced later this summer. We are grateful to Xylem and all our corporate sponsors for making the program possible! Contact us if you’re interested in sponsoring the Tech Challenge or any of our other programs.
