Third year for product demonstration program

The Water Council is seeking applicants for the third round of its Pilot Program, an initiative that seeks to help transfer research to demonstration sites for practical application.

The program is headed into its third year and is supported by a Wells Fargo Clean Technology and Innovation grant. It is a partnership between the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, the Fund for Lake Michigan, and The Water Council.

Applicants should be focused on environmental sensing, intelligent stormwater green infrastructure, stormwater quality, and stormwater quantity. The project should have a working prototype ready for demonstration sites and must address integrated water solutions while maintaining a cost-efficient, scalable, and deployable model.

Winners will receive up to $357,000 as a cash prize with a 25 percent cash and in-kind match required. The company will also receive access to a network of advisers and demonstration site selection assistance.

Previous winners include Veolia Water Milwaukee/OptiRTC Inc., Solar Water Works, and Water POD by Stonehouse Water Technologies.

Interested applicants can find additional information and apply to the program here.
