The Water Council welcomes new VP Marketing & Communications

You may notice a new face this week in The Water Council staff. We want to give a warm welcome to Stacy Stevens, VP Marketing & Communications. Stacy joins the team with nearly 15 years of marketing and communications expertise and is eager to help further The Water Council’s message around the world.

“As an ecologist and supporter of social entrepreneurship, I’m thrilled to be joining The Water Council’s fun and passionate crew. With its local and global focus, the sky’s the limit for creating awareness of the valuable role The Water Council plays in championing the region’s water capabilities, attracting and connecting world-class talent to drive economic development and supporting water tech innovation through its dynamic partnerships and programs—I can’t wait to get started!”

Stacy will be leading The Water Council’s execution of a communications program to inform the world of the region’s water technology expertise, enhance The Water Council’s brand and be an agent of global change to improve water security conditions. Specifically, Stacy will be responsible for organizing the annual Water Leaders Summit, participation at WEFTEC, promotion of the Global Water Center and the benefits associated with the Alliance for Water Stewardship program in North America.

“With her extremely strong background in communications, we are very pleased that Stacy has accepted our offer to join The Water Council,” stated Dean Amhaus, president & CEO of The Water Council.  “All of the staff who had the opportunity to meet with Stacy during the interview process were impressed with her experience, perspectives, and enthusiasm.  Most importantly, Stacy will be able to strengthen what is already a strong team and help all of us as we continue to grow The Water Council and our water technology cluster.”

Stacy will be representing The Water Council at WEFTEC 2019 in Chicago, Illinois on September 23-25.
