BREW 2.0 programming is tactical and practical, providing the cohort with useful, growth-focused training and valuable connections.

Programming begins with an in-person kickoff in Milwaukee, followed by virtual sessions on go-to-market strategy, sales, startup culture, marketing and pitch refinement. It concludes with an in-person week in Milwaukee featuring a public pitch day, investor event and customized matchmaking.

BREW 2.0 is led by Katie Kollhoff Mouat, The Water Council’s director of innovation programs, with experts from Thales Water Advisors and sponsors including Beckhoff Automation and Xylem.

Applications open in the fourth quarter for the next calendar-year cohort. Judging and invitation to interview take place late in the year, with virtual interviews for one of 10 spots held early in the New Year.  Invited companies are notified in February.

Companies apply online, outlining their business and growth potential. Applications are reviewed by industry and startup experts based on key criteria.

Select participants are invited to an online interview, and the top 10 candidates are invited into the program.

Selected companies make a commitment to fully participate in the program. Attendance at all sessions, including in-person events, is required by you or a representative of your team. We respect your time, and we ensure your time investment delivers exceptional value.

No, there is no cost for application or participation other than travel expenses. We are glad to offer a high-value, no-cost program through the support of our sponsors.

Participants do NOT receive funding or investment for participating in BREW 2.0 but will make many valuable connections to potential customers, partners and investors throughout the program.
