2025 was a watershed year for The Water Council — one marked by transition, growth and renewed energy. Here are some of the highlights:
Celebrated the remarkable 15-year tenure of our founding CEO, Dean Amhaus, as he retired.
Welcomed Karen Frost, a 10-year veteran of the organization, as our new executive director.
Became an affiliate of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC).
Hired a new director of innovation programs, Katie Kollhoff Mouat, who brought fresh ideas and energy to our innovation programs.
Launched WAVE: Action, a second verification tier that helps companies set targets and engage stakeholders on shared water challenges.
Created a comprehensive water stewardship training program in partnership with the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB).
