The Water Council achieved many milestones in 2024 as we continue to fulfill our mission to solve global water challenges by driving freshwater innovation and advancing water stewardship. Here are some of the highlights:
Awarded a $2.5 million contract from the U.S. Small Business Administration as a mature Regional Innovation Cluster.
Signed a memorandum of understanding with Veolia North America for the creation of a Water and Wastewater Workforce Center.
Assisted in the announcement of a $15 million permanent pilot facility from the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District.
Combined our annual Water Leaders Summit with the Marquette University College of Business’ Sustainability 2.0 Conference to form the Nexus Sustainability Leaders Summit.
Added four new companies to our WAVE: Water Stewardship Verified program and verified four additional companies.
Grew our membership to 159 organizations, including three new large corporations – Veralto, Wilo and Zurn Elkay.
