Forging Innovation: MMSD & Tomorrow Water
The Water Council bridges the gap between groundbreaking tech and major infrastructure. We successfully introduced our member, Tomorrow Water, to the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD), leading to the pilot of its Proteus filtration technology.
Now, this partnership is scaling. MMSD’s upcoming state-of-the-art research facility (breaking ground in 2026) will feature Proteus as one of its first major tests – marking a milestone for primary filtration tech in the U.S.
The pilot facility will be built at MMSD’s South Shore Water Reclamation Facility.
We are proud to partner with the Fund for Lake Michigan and the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District on many of our pilot projects.
