We work hard to fulfill our mission to solve critical water challenges by driving freshwater innovation and advancing water stewardship. But we don’t work alone. This month, I’m struck by how many of our activities involve critical partnerships.

What a year it has been for the country, the water sector, the sustainability movement and, of course, The Water Council. Despite the many challenges presented in 2021, The Water Council made great strides in building on previous work and charging into new territory. Read more in our December update.
You don’t have to work at The Water Council to know that water has been front and center this month. Get caught up on our news, including our work with a PFAS remediation company, a new opportunity for non-water tech companies and the opening of one of our innovation programs.
As I write this, we are expecting another day of severe storms and extreme heat in Milwaukee. Is this caused by climate change? It’s hard to say for certain, but we know climate change is here and will get worse, as confirmed by the recent United Nations report. While the news about climate change is alarming, we at The Water Council see a huge opportunity to leverage our work in water innovation, technology and stewardship to make a real impact in the sustainability movement.
