A Flurry of Announcements

Skyscrapers face Lake Michigan at sunrise.

Spring has just begun, but we’re already thinking about fall at The Water Council. That’s because we just announced a major change to our annual summit happening Oct. 29 and 30. We also recently announced our BREW 2.0 cohort for 2024 and the opening of our spring Tech Challenge. Learn more in our March newsletter.

15 Years & Growing

It’s hard to believe The Water Council was founded 15 years ago. Today, The Water Council is a world water hub, working with companies and organizations all over the world to solve global water challenges through innovation and stewardship.

Growing Our Water Stewardship Work in Europe

We are pleased to announce that we have hired Joe Ferrara, an experienced business development executive, as our senior consultant for WAVE in Europe. Joe will help introduce European organizations to WAVE and contextualize program benefits for operating in Europe, particularly in light of enhanced reporting requirements such as the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.

Growth & Renewal in 2024

Large icicles hang from a railing, with a view of Lake Michigan and a lighthouse at sunrise just beyond.

As we launch into a new year, it’s an exciting time of growth and renewal for The Water Council. Learn how we are growing our NSF Resiliency Engine, innovation programming and water stewardship program in January newsletter.

No Rest for the Water Sector

We’re coming off a week that included the Water Leaders Summit, our biggest event of the year, along with a meeting of Great Lakes WISE and the Asian Development Bank Roadshow. But there’s little rest for our team, as WEFTEC is less than two weeks away. That’s followed by our international business development event in Milwaukee, when we will host more than 40 guests from Europe plus companies from Brazil and Canada. Increasing Urgency for Water Solutions

Increasingly, it seems there are daily news stories depicting weather-related disasters, from the troubling fires in Canada and Hawaii to the extreme heat in America’s South to the devastating floods in Asia. These tragedies underscore the urgent need for water solutions. At The Water Council, we’re working hard every day to find them. Read about our latest efforts in our August newsletter.
